Community Quilts Workshop, Debec, February 22nd, 2014
This Quilt was put together as a gift for Andrea Seeley (Fish). She has worked as a teacher in the French Emersion Department of the Woodstock Middle School. Many of our quilt members will have had children or grandchildren taught by Andrea.
The quilt was pieced by Linda McAffee and Sandra Culberson. It was machine quilted by Janet Melansen. Contribution to acquiring the supplies, etc., were made by the "Sew'n Sews," one of the smaller groups within the Woodstock Quilt Guild.

Kathy, and Janis presented a total of 18 Care Bundles to Susan of the Red Cross to be distributed by first responders to victims of disasters such as fires and floods, locally. These were donated the first Thursday after the New Year. Thanks to all our members who contributed to this very worthy cause.
Quilts for the Regional Hospital....Oncology Dept
The Quilts that were donated last year have been gone for some time so the nurses were glad to see the quilts the Kathy Boone handed them this past week. Janet Wright had given them to Kathy in Oct-Nov and she had had them for a number of years (some labled 2002). The nurses in the picture above are Ruth Kerney (on the left) & Connie Wheelan.
Four care bundles were brought to the February meeting and these have been passed on to the Red Cross. The lady receiving them is Hazel Holloway.
Three baby quilts given to the "Baby & Me" program were among some of the ones donated by WQG member, Janet Wright. Nancy Jewett of the VON is seen here displaying these quilts. Thanks goes to all members who have so graciously given of there time to complete quilts for such worthy causes.
The following pictures are of community quilts made by our members at the February Super Saturday. These were donated to two families who experienced house fires this year (2011)
The following pictures are of the Community quilts completed by Woodstock Quilt Guild members. These will be donated to individuals and groups as the need arises. Well done and thanks to those members who worked on these projects.
